Raising the Voltage in e-Mobility
Discover siliXcon’s new middle-voltage motor controllers (12–33 kW) designed for up to 120 V systems. High power density, compact design, ready for series production.
Show moreEICMA 2025 made one thing clear: electric mobility in the motorcycle world is no longer an experiment. It is maturing fast, gaining quality, and becoming a real alternative for riders who want performance without emissions. This year’s event put a strong spotlight on sustainability and electrification across every category—from compact city commuters to powerful enduro and touring e-motorcycles above 25 kW.
Electric enduro bikes were the strongest theme of the exhibition. Manufacturers showcased models equipped with cutting-edge battery technology and highly efficient drivetrains. The focus was on solving the classic weak points of electric motorcycles: longer range, faster charging, improved thermal management, and overall higher build quality. The result is a new generation of machines whose riding dynamics are now comparable to traditional combustion bikes, without sacrificing speed or rider experience.
Sustainability was not presented as a marketing slogan but as a practical standard. Discussions centered on greener materials, cleaner production, lifecycle efficiency, and how connected and smart technologies can reduce costs and extend component longevity. These elements underline a clear industry-wide shift toward responsible innovation.
During the visit, we also met several companies that are significantly shaping the future of electric mobility: Electric Motion, ArianeMoto, Novus, EVR Motors, DAB Motors. These brands represent the current wave of progress in e-motorcycles, from high-performance drivetrains to advanced battery systems and lightweight engineering.
Based on the trends and conversations at EICMA, the outlook for 2026 is rather optimistic. The strongest growth is expected in:
As range anxiety decreases and charging speeds improve, broader market adoption is becoming much more realistic.
For siliXcon, EICMA reinforced that we are moving in the right direction. The market is accelerating, technology requirements are rising, and high-quality electronics for e-powertrains will play a central role in the next phase of motorcycle innovation.
This industry is shifting fast. And we want to be right in the center of it, helping shape electric mobility where performance meets responsibility.
