siliXcon at Czech UAS Industry Day 2026

The First Czech UAS Industry Day, held on March 17, 2026 at the UAV Technology Park in Moravské Budějovice, brought together key players in the Czech unmanned aerial systems ecosystem. The event focused on dual-use applications, bridging defence and civil use cases.

siliXcon attended as a participant to better understand the local UAS landscape, connect with manufacturers, and explore opportunities in this rapidly growing segment.

Focus on ISR, C-UAS and Autonomous Operations

The program included live demonstrations of UAS technologies, including ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) systems, counter-drone (C-UAS) solutions, and autonomous flight operations within a certified testing air corridor.

Key discussions covered:

  • AI integration in UAS systems
  • distributed manufacturing (including in-field 3D printing)
  • low-altitude threat detection and response

These trends reflect the increasing complexity and operational demands placed on modern unmanned systems.

Technologies Presented

Companies such as Workswell showcased thermal imaging UAS solutions for monitoring and rescue operations.

Projects from Zuri and LOM Praha demonstrated tactical drone platforms with advanced navigation systems and mission-specific payloads for defence applications.

Additional solutions included soft-kill countermeasures and scalable detection systems designed for low-altitude threats, reflecting real-world operational insights from recent conflicts.

A Growing UAS Ecosystem

The UAV Technology Park continues to position itself as a key infrastructure hub for UAS and UGV development, supporting dual-use innovation ahead of evolving EU regulations such as U-space.

Plans for expansion include up to 100 hectares of development space, including prototyping labs and simulation environments for complex scenarios, including operations in contaminated environments.

What This Means for siliXcon

For siliXcon, the event confirmed the rapid growth and increasing maturity of the Czech UAS sector. As unmanned systems become more advanced and energy-demanding, the need for efficient, reliable, and scalable electronic systems continues to grow.

This aligns directly with our expertise in advanced motor control and e-powertrain integrations, positioning us to contribute to the next generation of autonomous and electrified platforms.
